We went to the Columbia, SC zoo today.
Samantha and I watched the elephants for a while.
And we tried to pose her for a picture with this statue, but she started screaming bloody murder approximately half a second before this picture was taken. It took us several minutes to get her to stop saying "no" and "all gone". We decided not to go to the reptile house after this incident.
Giraffes, on the other hand, are A-okay with Samantha.
She is also quite comfortable with monkeys.
We tried to take a picture of her posing in front of the tiger, but I think the tiger was depressed because he was making a really strange moaning sound which disturbed Samantha greatly. So we decided that the tiger's misery does not love company and moved on.
It's too bad there aren't any zoos less than a two hour drive from here.

Oh, no! Our zoo is only about 20 mins away, and we have a membership. The kids love it! Too funny about the big lizard statue. He scares me too!
Tell Lennie: the allbrittons site has "busted" ? My brother, the webmaster, needs to convert it to something else.
