Pool Fun and 1st Haircut

I am trying to get Samantha in the pool at least once a week this summer, hoping that she'll love the water as much as I do. She has come a long way from our first venture in the water this year. She is now able to maneuver her way around the pool and is excited to get in. Today she even used Swimmies (arm rings) and did great! (These pictures are from last week when she was still using her ring float.)

You can consider the above pictures from the pool as our "before" pictures for her haircut. Last Wednesday after we left the pool, Samantha got her first haircut. I know many of you are thinking "Why cut her hair?!? It's not long enough yet!" That was my thought, until I realized it really hasn't gotten much longer in the last 6 months. I'm hoping that by giving it a little trim, it will stimulate it to grow more. Also, it needed a little shaping up.

Notice the grip she has on the chair. She was a little hesitant at first but quickly warmed up.

A little more off the top and then all done! To be honest, it doesn't look much different, just a little less wild and a lot more even. Her favorite part was that "Miss Nicole" gave her a lollipop when it was over.
