I thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures when they aren't about an event that happened three months ago, just for a change of pace.
Today we went to the Cabarrus County Fair for a few hours. First we ate some greasy fair food lunch, then we decided it would be a great idea to ride some rides!
First Samantha and I rode some sort of caterpillar roller coaster. It was quite a bit faster than I was expecting. And it was a lot faster than Samantha was expecting. It went around twice, and she was a bit scared after the first pass, but I think by the second time around she was having fun.
Then we went on some sort of up and down spinning thing. THIS WAS A BAD IDEA. We had two little boys in the same car as we were in, and they were trying to spin it as fast as possible. I was not sure I was going to make it. I think it was a bit much for Samantha too, although she started perking up towards the end. Meanwhile I was trying to avoid tossing my cookies. And yes, this picture is accurate as to how I was feeling.
Finally we went on some sort of pretend hang glider thing. We enjoyed that also. By this time Daddy was pretty much done with rides. He's getting too old for spinning.
So Samantha went on a couple more rides by herself before we purchased a nice funnel cake and headed home.
I think my stomach has almost recovered, three hours later.
