The Taj-Ma-Playhouse...

as is it being affectionately called in parts of Harrisburg, is nearing completion. Due to my slack blogging, I have a few pictures to catch up on. I'll share the progression of the playhouse from where I last left off.

The whole family has helped. Here Jeff is helping Grandaddy steady the roof beam while Mimi watches to make sure he doesn't fall off the ladder.



Later that week, Uncle Britt stopped by to help with the roof. I think if Nascar hadn't been an option, he would have made a good living working on roofs. It doesn't bother him at all to walk around this high off of the ground.

The roof is complete and the shingles are on and the windows are installed

We have siding! (It's a light grey if you can't tell from this picture)

Samantha's favorite part is the scalloped gable. She said, "that was just what I wanted!" when she saw it the first time. Here she is trying to open the door for the first time.

The outside is nearly complete. Samantha tried out the front porch.
