Some random updates from the last month or so:

Samantha went on a field trip at school to ride horses. She's come a LONG way since the last time she had the opportunity. She was actually the first one of 15 kids to ride and acted like it was no big deal. She even got to go on an extra loop around the riding ring and loved it! The second picture below is Samantha and Elijah at our kids' Christmas program this year. All the kids were ornaments and it was a very cute program!

For Christmas, Samantha had asked Santa for a "big girl bed" and said what she really wanted was a bunkbed. Now, for a child who has been deathly afraid of heights, we weren't sure how this would turn out, so we looked and found a "reversible bed" at IKEA. This way if the height was too much, we could just flip it over. She surprised us again by climbing right in it and has slept in it every night since.

Climbing in her new bed the first time. Showing off a bracelet from Mimi and Grandaddy.

Other than the bed, Samantha's 2 favorite presents were a Leapster (which I must not have photographed) and a Tag Reading System.

Here is the bed reassembled in Samantha's room. I think the tent top is her favorite part.

Having her first sleepover (with her cousin Becca) about a week after Christmas - I have no idea what the crazy face means
