Christmas 2010

This Christmas brought a new addition to our family. Meet Jenna - Samantha's new best friend - the American girl doll she got for Christmas. For months prior to Christmas, Samantha looked over the American girl catalog many times and wished and hoped with all her heart that she would get this particular doll (who she had already named Jenna).

Here is Jenna waiting for Samantha to wake up on Christmas morning and then the big moment when they meet!

After this, we have some Vanna White type shots as Samantha looks through her goodies: a new lunch bag

and M & M's. She really got stuck on this same pose/smile.

At Mimi and Grandaddy's house, she played Santa and passed out the gifts by reading the tags (mostly) by herself. Showing off her smirk and her new necklace.

We even got a visit in with Aunt Sissy and family.

Then on to Uncle Walt and Aunt Libby's house for dinner. (Yes, I realize that orange and pink aren't typically Christmas colors, but Samantha was SO excited to have a jean skirt she could wear with this pair of crazy hand-me-down tights, that this is what she picked out to wear.)

Once again Vanna made an appearance to show off a new Barbie.

We drove home through a "wintry mix" and came home to find our yard covered with snow. We technically had a white Christmas!
