Self-expression and swimming
Samantha recently has started having very strong opinions about what clothes she wants to wear. Usually, I end up letting her choose from a selection of outfits I have picked out. Occasionally though, I just let her pick whatever she wants to wear (when we aren't going to be leaving the house.) This is an example of the outfits she picks. This is her "Uncle Britt shirt" because he is the one who purchased it for her. It is paired nicely with her "Owl pants." These pants have about 10-15 different pictures on them, but she really likes the owls.
Here she is playing with her daddy's light saber spoon, complete with her own sound effects. I can't even begin to know how to type out the sound a light saber makes, but she was pretty close. I think that's what I get for letting her be Princess Leia her first Halloween.
This is her "Treasure" dance. Two very sweet friends of mine bestowed upon us a Backyardigans radio for Samantha for Christmas. She LOVES it. It has to be the loudest toy I have ever heard. It plays several different songs in different musical styles, and of course, Samantha's favorite is the pirate song that goes "Treasure, treasure..." She is her daddy's child.
Here are a few of pictures from my cousin Jason's graduation party last weekend and one from Jason's actual graduation.
