3 Pumpkins and a Wedding

I'm a couple of weeks behind in posting, but just so you know, when we get comments, it lets us (me) know that people actually are reading, and sometimes helps encourage us (me) to post more frequently. Now, on to the pictures...

Uncle Britt promised Samantha at the beginning of the month that they could go to the pumpkin patch and get a pumpkin and we went about 2 weeks ago. When we got there (I was just along to take pictures), Samantha promptly picked out 2 small pumpkins to bring home. After some delay (long story involving a pumpkin delivery truck with mostly rotten pumpkins), Aunt Julie was able to find 2 much larger pumpkins, more suitable for carving.

Here's Samantha with one of her little pumpkins and then posing for me.

Uncle Britt and Samantha with the 2 little pumpkins she brought home.

Samantha wearing Uncle Britt's shirt when it got cooler (and darker) while we waited for some non-rotten pumpkins to come off of the delivery truck. She found a gourd! (Uncle Britt's/Grandaddy's dump truck is being put to good use with the rotten pumpkins in the background of the 2nd picture.)

Later that same week, Samantha's class took a field trip to a different pumpkin patch/farm and we got to see some farm animals and go on a hay ride and then get yet another pumpkin to take home. Samantha was less than cooperative, and this is the best picture I got of her all day. The face she's making displays the attitude I got during the trip. I didn't get any pictures of her with her pumpkin, but it has joined the other 2 on our counter.

Last weekend, I took a solo trip to Florida for my cousin Adam's wedding. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding. Here are Kathy, Adam, Kale, Andrew, and Peter before the wedding.

Christi and Adam posing for a picture before cutting the cake. Sadly, this is the best picture I got of the 2 of them. There were a LOT of people with cameras. Also, here is my cutie-pie Kale, running from everyone in his "tux." I tried to figure out a way to bring him back to NC with me.

Fishing for comments... shame shame shame. We do not post for comments! Posting is its own reward!

I look at your blog every week day and love it. If you are thinking of making it into a book - - - I would love one. I quit leaving messages because they were too easy to misinterpret.

Sounds like a fun Halloween activity. I, too, am a comment lover. I understand wanting to know people are reading! Love the tiny pupmkins - sounds like something my girls would latch on to too. :)
