Snow Day!

I know we still need to put up Christmas pictures, but here are a few from Samantha's first real snow day. She has been asking when it was going to snow since sometime this summer. We told her it snows in winter. So, as soon as she realized it was December (more than a month ago), she has periodically asked when it was going to snow, since it was now winter. When we heard yesterday that we were expecting snow, we didn't tell her that it was even a possibility, just in case it didn't snow. When she woke up this morning, I had her close her eyes and I took her to the window to see the snow. She was SOOOO excited.

Watching the snow fall from inside with Walnut

All bundled up!

Making a snowball

Throwing snow at mommy!

Home sweet home!

Sliding and swinging in the snow

Coconut and Walnut (not big fans of the snow)

Catching snowflakes on her tongue - fun!

We looked across the street just in time to see some deer in our neighbor's yard

Snow Angel!

Silly girl who LOVES the snow!

Getting out of her snow gear to warm up inside!

How cool. Does it not snow often, there? I guess I kind of think of anywhere with snow as being buried in it all winter, lol!!

We typically get snow one, maybe two, times a winter. However, the past couple of years we hardly got anything. Last year we got enough to just barely cover the ground, and then it turned to rain before we could even go out to enjoy it.
