Flower Girl Extraordinaire

We went to Tennessee this weekend for Stephanie and Randy's wedding. It was a wonderful weekend in a beautiful setting. Samantha (as you can probably guess from the title) was the flower girl. She took the whole thing very seriously.

Steph and Randy had their nieces and nephews stand up for them as bridesmaids and groomsmen. This is the whole crew minus the ring bearer after the rehearsal.

On Saturday before the wedding we all played Hillbilly golf in Gatlinburg. It was a lot of fun and Samantha's first putt-putt game. She let her daddy help her a little at first until she got the hang of it. Someone with more golf skills than either of us will need to help her with her technique.

The wedding was Saturday evening. Here is Samantha dressed up, ready for her flower girl duties and a picture of the 2 of us.

I tried to get a nice sweet picture of Samantha and her daddy in front of the beautiful scenery. They decided to be silly and give each other "eyeball huggers" instead. I don't think it has the same ring to it as "Butterfly Kisses" but what can you do...

As I mentioned, she took her job very seriously. Her basket had dried lavender sprigs in it and she left little piles of it all the way up the aisle. She had a brief moment of distress when she reached the altar and still had some left, but we quickly encouraged her that it was okay and to go stand with the bridesmaids. She stood still for the whole ceremony and was very proud of herself for doing a "great job."

You are never too old to learn something new I guess. I certainly didn't know that eyeball huggers even existed. Thanks for the pictures and especially the one of the whole family. I love it!

What a sweetie! She looks beautiful, and it sounds like she enjoyed her duties. ROFL about the "eyeball huggers".
