Beauty and the Beast

On Sunday, Samantha and I went with our dear friends Virginia, Wendy, Cameron, and Erica to the Children's Theatre of Charlotte production of Beauty and the Beast. It was Samantha's first play, other than programs and church and she LOVED it. It was almost 2 1/2 hours long and she stayed interested the whole time. As a long time fan of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, I too was enthralled (and sang along, but only silently to myself.)

Here is Samantha checking out some of the displays at intermission - they had props and drawings of the costumes. It was really cool! (Also, this is a good shot of the back of Samantha's head - her half and half hair - half straight/half curly. This is already providing challenges with hairstyles. I can't wait til she is a teenager...)

After the play was over and we met some of the casts, the girls played in the downstairs portion of Imaginon (where the Children's Theatre is located). Here is Samantha "coloring" a picture on one of their computers.
