Hi Ho Homer!
We went with Nannie and the kids to ride horses last week. (Thank you Jenny!) Samantha was not at all interested in getting up close and personal with the horses (or the cow). All the other kids took turns petting and brushing them, but Samantha wanted to stay as far away as she could get.
She did take a turn sitting with the others on what I'm guessing is part of a mechanical bull. (The family that owns the horses participates in rodeos.)
We took a ride in an HUV (and no, I'm not really sure what that stands for, but it is a golf cart type vehicle that has a little bed like a truck on the back). Then it was time to ride the horses.
Samantha sitting in the back of the HUV awaiting her turn to ride.
On the horse (Homer) at last! She was holding on for dear life, but she didn't cry.
She took a second turn around the ring and started to enjoy herself. She even got brave enough to wave.
Our little cowgirl!

Very cool! Let us know if you find out what HUV means (I know you're just DYING to research that!)
It looks like they all had a great time! How the heck did you get all those kids to hold still while you took that last picture?! Please let me in on that secret!
We took about 10-15 pictures and made lots of faces while trying to get them to all look at us.
Also, it doesn't hurt that "Nannie's kids" know to stand still when she tells them to. She's got the gift.
