Being the slackers that we are, I never updated you on the great Harrisburg flood of 2008. Here's the street in front of our house a little later in the day.



We're pretty lucky to be where we are. Quite a few houses in the back of our neighborhood are currently stripping out insulation and flooring that was ruined when their houses were subjected to several feet of water.

I saw one estimate that in a 24 hour period we had a little over four inches of rain. I don't think that's even the entire storm since it went on for a bit over a day. It was basically a month worth of rain for us in 24 hours.


But on to happier things! I'm not sure what's going on here, but this barrel of monkeys looks like trouble to me!



And this monkey escaped from the barrel and is swinging through the trees.
