Festival in the Park
Friday before last Samantha and I went with Uncle Britt and Aunt Julie to the Festival in the Park at Freedom Park. If the scene looks familiar, it's because this is the same park where we have our annual StRoll in the Park walk-a-thon. An e-mail is coming soon inviting you all to come walk with us this year!
Unfortunately after we spent 20 minutes finding a parking space, we found that about half of the booths were closed, but we still had a good time. Samantha did get to enjoy a bounce house and seeing some birds from the Carolina Raptor Center.
Then she got her face painted. She had informed us on the way to the park that she wanted her face painted like a puppy. They had princesses, fairies, ladybugs, etc, but once she has her mind set on something, there is no changing it. So, here is our polka-dotted puppy (with her flowery halo/tiara).
She was definitely Uncle Britt's girl all day long.
