Trip to Lake Lure
Samantha and I went with a friend to stay at my cousin's beautiful cabin at Lake Lure this past weekend. (Thank you Kathy and Peter!) These are a few pictures from our trip.
First of all, this is the biggest spider I have ever seen. He wouldn't even fit under a cup and we ended up trapping him under a metal pail - where he may live for all time, because I certainly wasn't about to let him out.
We saw this interesting vehicle in dowtown Chimney Rock. If you can't tell, the front half is a Honda motorcyle and the back is a Corvette. What I especially liked were the seat cushions.
A few pictures of Samantha - one at Chimney Rock (at the bottom, not the top). The other is at a small waterfall close to the cabin. This is why all of Samantha's size 24 month clothes arebeing packed away. She is just too long in the body for them.
Here is Mirror Lake right before sunset.
And a little comparison - on the left is Samantha last August, and on the right is this past weekend. It is hard to believe how much she has grown in just 9 months.

And LOL, my kids always do the bare belly thing too, before I realize the clothes are getting too small!
