Cabarrus County Fair

We took Samantha to the Cabarrus County Fair on Tuesday night. She had the full, undivided attention of 6 adults and LOTS of new things to look at, so of course she loved it. All day long she told anyone who would listen that we were going to the fair to see the animals. She actually did pet a cow (she said it was "soft"), but I missed getting that picture. Here are just a few animals we saw.

Duck Pile!

The sliding ducks and a chicken riding a Jeep. Here we were somewhat disappointed. The Chicken Man was there and was supposed to perform some kind of show with his trained chickens, but all we got to see was this one riding around on a remote control Jeep asking for tips.

Here Samantha is trying to look over the crowd while on her daddy's shoulders to see the pig races. The races were over very quickly but drew quite a crowd. (Don't you like Jeff's shirt - it says "The Original Grouch")

We decided this year Samantha was big enough to try a couple of rides, so we bought tickets. We walked around all of the rides before deciding on the Jet Ski's - she called them airplanes. She wasn't sure at first, but then decided she really liked it. She also rode on the swings with Amy (she wasn't tall enough to ride them herself), and even though I snapped a picture every time they made a rotation, I didn't get any good ones.

Hey, Lennie. We were at the fair on Tuesday night, too. In fact, I was looking out specifically for you guys (thinking, "Yeah, what are the odds they'd be here at the same time?"). Clearly we managed &mdash again — not to cross paths.

Looks like fun for the kids, so I am sure Jeff enjoyed it. Thanks for putting up the pictures and the action Lennie. How come Jeff does not put them up anymore?

Keep them coming.
